Our Founder

Ahmet Remzi Güres was born in Gaziantep in 1892, completed primary and secondary school in the same province, and completed his higher education at the Mülkiyeyi Şahane (Political Sciences) school. While he was a reserve officer in the face of foreign states' attacks on our country, he took part in the defense of Çanakkale and commanded the unit with two artillery batteries at his disposal. He is a heroic son of the Turkish nation who contributed to the Çanakkale Victory.

He continued this duty for 18 years without interruption afterward and became the Chairman of the State Supervisory Board, the Party Inspector, and the General Manager of the Sugar Factory. Since he speaks three languages (German, French, Arabic), he participated in a long journey with the Black Sea Exhibition Ship, which was organized by the State, covering the whole of Europe and the North Sea, and he contributed to making the promotion of Turkish products.

He participated in a trip to Russia with İsmet Pasha. In addition to these, he took part in various positions as a member of the administrative committee, head of the laundering, Head of Defense of Law, District Governor of Kilis, and Permanent Member of the Hilal-i Ahmet Society and the Himaiye-i Etfal Society.
During the General Directorate of Sugar Factory era, he became interested in agricultural work and gained sufficient knowledge. After his retirement, he started farming by cultivating sugar beet, hemp, and wheat in the agricultural lands in Manisa-Saruhanlı in 1938. He entered livestock in 1963 and produced 600 chickens and 20 dairy cows which he started production with.

In 1974, the second generation of the Güres Group, M. Mustafa Güres, Ömer Güres took over the task and decided to grow in the livestock business. They brought egg chicken farming and dairy cow farming together for a while. Since they saw that animal husbandry requires expertise and integration is crucial, they shifted production to laying hens only, and they attached great importance to specializing in this field and completing the integration.
